Moovit and Central Elections Committee Partner for Accessible Voting
Ahead of the upcoming parliamentary elections, the Central Elections Committee has teamed up with the navigation app Moovit to make finding polling stations easier than ever. For the first time, everyday smartphone users will be able to locate both their standard registered polling location and the nearest specialized accessible voting booth directly through the platform. This new digital integration aims to significantly reduce logistical barriers for voters with physical mobility limitations who are legally permitted to cast their ballots using double envelopes at special accessible stations. While the app streamlines the search process, officials remind the public that specific legal criteria still govern who is authorized to vote outside of their originally assigned precinct.
