Zelensky condemns deadly Russian missile strikes across Ukraine
A devastating wave of Russian missile attacks across Ukraine has resulted in at least 28 deaths, including five children in the town of Pryluky. The strikes targeted residential areas and energy infrastructure, causing widespread destruction to hundreds of homes and leaving dozens of civilians injured as rescue operations continue through the rubble. President Volodymyr Zelensky denounced the assault as a malicious act, suggesting the timing was intended to coincide with Vladimir Putin's birthday. In response, Ukraine has launched retaliatory strikes against Russian oil facilities and military targets, while simultaneously calling on international allies to bolster its air defense capabilities.
