Bereishit Rabbah: Ezer Knegdo with Rabbi Ze'ev Sultanovitch
In this class, Rabbi Ze'ev Sultanovitch explores the poignant Midrash from Bereishit Rabbah regarding the phrase 'a helper opposite him.' The lecture contrasts harmonious relationships with challenging ones, using the narrative of Rabbi Yossi HaGlili and his difficult wife. Central to the discussion is the transition from blaming others to accepting personal responsibility. Rather than falling into resentment, the teaching highlights how difficult interpersonal dynamics can serve as a mirror for inner growth and moral resilience.
