China's Manus Raises Over $500M After Meta Deal Falls Through
Chinese AI lab Manus, operating under parent company Butterfly Effect, has successfully raised over $500 million in its first funding round since Chinese authorities blocked Meta's planned $2 billion acquisition. The investment round was led by Boyu Capital and IDG Capital, with participation from major existing shareholders including Tencent, HSG, and ZhenFund. This financial boost comes as Manus resumes independent operations and expands its global hiring efforts.
