President Donald Trump has named conservative commentator and Fox News contributor Katie Zacharia as the new White House press secretary. Zacharia steps into the role succeeding Karoline Leavitt, who is moving in the opposite direction to become a contributor at Fox News. Prior to this appointment, Zacharia worked as a senior communications adviser for Trump Media.
Former White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt is joining Fox News Channel as a contributor starting November 1. Known for her combative interactions with reporters during her tenure, Leavitt follows a well-established tradition of government officials transitioning into media commentary roles. Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott praised Leavitt's firsthand White House and campaign trail experience. Leavitt joins other former administration figures across various networks, such as Kayleigh McEnany at Fox and Jen Psaki at MSNBC.
