Kallum Watkins joins England squad for Rugby League World Cup
Kallum Watkins has been drafted into the England Rugby League World Cup squad as a late replacement. This change follows an injury sustained by Morgan Smithies during training, which has ruled him out of the tournament. Coach Brian McDermott expressed disappointment regarding Smithies' injury but remains confident in Watkins, a veteran player he previously managed at Leeds. Watkins is expected to join the team in Perth and will be available for selection in upcoming group matches.
