TimeTeller puts our internal clocks at personalized medicine's center

German startup TimeTeller has developed an innovative saliva test kit designed to help individuals understand their unique circadian rhythms. Led by CEO Angela Relógio, the company aims to reduce severe side effects from cancer treatments by timing therapies to match patients' internal biological clocks. While the long-term vision includes optimizing oncology drugs through clinical studies, the current direct-to-consumer kit provides valuable data for longevity clinics. This information helps optimize sleep, nutrition, light exposure, and overall physical activity for better health outcomes.

Hiyd is a health tracker that attaches to the watch you wear

Former Apple engineers have launched Hiyd, a health-tracking startup designed to integrate seamlessly with traditional timepieces. Founded by Salah Batroukh, Omar Shakir, and Mahamad Charawi, the company aims to offer invisible health tracking without forcing users to sacrifice style for functionality. The core innovation is a 2.7mm-thick, 7-gram sensor disc that attaches to the back of any watch using microsuction technology. This avoids the need for magnets or adhesives that could leave residue or interfere with mechanical watches, while collecting comprehensive biometric data like heart rate, sleep, and VO2 max. In addition to hardware, the accompanying app uses AI to analyze movement and integrate nutrition tracking. The platform connects lifestyle habits—such as late-night eating or workouts—directly to sleep quality and fitness performance.
