Ultra-Orthodox Protests at Geha Junction: 3 Officers Injured
Violent clashes erupted at Geha Junction near Bnei Brak as Ultra-Orthodox protesters demonstrated against the detention of Alon Samdja. The protest, triggered by his imprisonment for failing to report for military service, resulted in significant injuries to law enforcement personnel. Police reported that three officers were wounded, including one struck in the head by a stone and another suffering from broken ribs. A media crew was also targeted during the unrest. Authorities eventually dispersed the crowd and reopened Highway 4 to traffic.
