Israel Treasury Proposes Fuel Price Relief to Mitigate Hikes

The Israeli Ministry of Finance is working to soften the impact of upcoming fuel price increases. While gasoline prices are set to drop by 42 agorot at the start of the month, the current tax subsidy is expiring, threatening a sharp rise shortly after. To prevent a significant burden on consumers, the Treasury has proposed a new 50-agorot discount. This intervention aims to stabilize the price at approximately 7.85 NIS per liter, balancing fiscal policy with the cost of living.
