Israel Approves National Strategic Plan for Flood Risk Management

In response to growing environmental risks and urban expansion, an Israeli Director-Generals Committee led by the Prime Minister's Office has officially approved a comprehensive national strategic plan dedicated to flood risk management and prevention across the country. This framework focuses on modernized governance, statutory updates, and upgraded early-warning technology. By establishing a central regulatory mechanism and revising long-standing drainage legislation, the initiative aims to reduce hazards to human life and minimize economic losses caused by seasonal inundation.
