Israel Finance Ministry Proposes 50-Agora Fuel Tax Cut

The Israeli Ministry of Finance has published a draft order to reduce the excise tax on gasoline by 50 agorot. This measure is intended to mitigate expected price increases at the pump scheduled for early November. Following a public comment period, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich is expected to sign the order. If approved, the price of a liter of self-service gasoline will be set at 7.85 NIS.
