Google brings agentic AI to Gemini, starting with businesses
Google has announced major updates to its Gemini AI platform, introducing agentic capabilities designed to plan, execute, and manage complex tasks across business applications. Leveraging its massive user base, the company is rolling out the feature first to enterprise customers to address security and performance demands. The new Gemini agent can accept high-level objectives rather than simple instructions, utilizing subagents, custom skills, and internal company data to complete workflows. It even receives its own workplace identity complete with an email address, allowing it to function collaboratively alongside human coworkers.
