Eighteen-year-old Thomas Rew to captain England Lions in Caribbean
At just 18 years old, Thomas Rew has been appointed to lead the England Lions squad during their upcoming series in the West Indies. This milestone highlights the remarkable trajectory of the young wicketkeeper-batter, who recently secured his first senior developmental contract and a national team call-up. Rew's rapid rise follows an impressive stint leading the under-19 national team to a World Cup final and notable domestic performances. Alongside his leadership duties in the Caribbean, he is part of a select group preparing for higher-level international responsibilities under the guidance of former international batsman Jonathan Trott.
