Tesla Unveils Flying Roadster Prototype in Texas
Tesla has showcased a radical new iteration of its Roadster electric vehicle equipped with specialized thrusters designed to enable mid-air hovering and turning. During a presentation in Texas at a SpaceX facility, chief executive Elon Musk demonstrated the car driving off a ramp, executing aerial maneuvers, and landing with the assistance of air jets. Despite the impressive demonstration, industry analysts and reporters caution that consumers should not expect flying automobiles on public highways anytime soon. Substantial regulatory, technical, and safety obstacles remain before such advanced concepts can transition from experimental showcases to commercial reality.
