Qatar to Premiere Domestic Feature Films at Doha Film Festival
The upcoming Doha Film Festival is set to mark a significant milestone by showcasing the world premieres of four domestic feature-length films from Qatar. This development highlights the energy-rich Arab nation's strategic push to expand its economy into the media, entertainment, and creative sectors. While the festival has previously championed local talent through its 'Made in Qatar' short film competition, these new feature presentations represent a distinct evolution. The showcased projects include diverse documentaries and dramas created by local and regional filmmakers.
