Discovery+ Hikes Prices Following Skydance and Paramount Merger
Discovery+ has announced price increases for its U.S. subscribers, just one week after the completion of the major merger between Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery to form Skydance Corp. The ad-supported tier will rise by $1 to $6.99 per month, while the ad-free plan will increase by $2 to $11.99 per month. The price adjustments take effect immediately for new subscribers, whereas existing members will be given a 30-day notice before seeing the new rates on their billing statements. Sources indicate these adjustments were planned months in advance of the merger's finalization.
