Dan Lin Departs as Netflix Film Chief Amid Major Restructuring
Netflix has dismissed Dan Lin from his role as head of film after a three-year tenure. This leadership change follows a massive wave of layoffs at the streaming giant, which saw approximately 1,000 employees depart, including the high-profile exit of chief content officer Bela Bajaria. The company is currently undergoing a significant creative overhaul to address ongoing engagement challenges and stock stagnation. While a replacement for Lin has not been officially named, industry speculation points toward veteran executives like Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy.
