Drone and Community Patrol Track Scooter Thieves in Crown Heights
A pair of teenagers who stole a scooter in the heart of Crown Heights on a Friday afternoon discovered that modern community policing leaves few places to hide. Monitored from above by a volunteer safety organization's drone, the suspects attempted to evade capture through neighborhood alleys. However, real-time aerial tracking allowed coordinators to guide local police directly to the fleeing duo, resulting in a swift and precise arrest that highlighted effective collaboration between civil volunteers and law enforcement.
