Christiane Amanpour to Exit CNN in June After 43 Years
Renowned journalist Christiane Amanpour has announced her departure from CNN, concluding a remarkable 43-year tenure with the network. Starting as a news assistant, she rose to prominence as a globe-trotting international correspondent, covering major global conflicts and defining the network's journalistic identity. Her decision follows recent shifts in CNN's corporate ownership under Skydance. While she expressed concerns regarding the network's future direction, she emphasized her commitment to independent reporting. Amanpour plans to transition away from her daily broadcasts by the end of the year, focusing on new projects and her independent podcast.
