Michael Waldron on Chad Powers Season 2 Success and Future Plans
The Hulu comedy 'Chad Powers,' co-created by Michael Waldron and Glen Powell, has seen significant growth in its second season. The show, which follows a disgraced quarterback using a disguise to return to the sport, has garnered strong viewership numbers and critical acclaim, with a notable shift toward a more cinematic, high-tension style inspired by thrillers like 'Point Break.' Waldron discusses the evolution of the characters, particularly the romantic arc between Russ and Ricky, and the show's deliberate three-part structure. As the team looks toward a potential third season, the focus shifts to a national championship run, while Waldron balances this project with his ongoing work at Marvel Studios.
