Amazon Devices Chief Panos Panay Envisions App-Free AI Future
Amazon's hardware leader, Panos Panay, recently shared his vision for the future of personal technology at a major industry conference. He believes that traditional smartphone applications will eventually take a back seat to ambient artificial intelligence systems that operate quietly in the background. Rather than forcing users to manually launch programs and issue specific commands, these next-generation gadgets will rely on advanced sensors to anticipate daily needs. By handling tasks proactively, the technology aims to free people from screen fatigue while prioritizing robust personal privacy controls.
