US Airman Dies Following Fatal Fall at Texas Football Stadium
A tragic accident occurred at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, when a member of the United States Air Force fell during a pre-game rappelling demonstration. The serviceman, identified as Technical Sergeant Ian Patterson, was performing a stunt before a college football match between the University of Texas at San Antonio and the Naval Academy when he plummeted to the field. Following the incident, Patterson was rushed to a hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The American Conference confirmed that the decision to proceed with the football game was made before the severity of the airman's condition was fully understood.
