Zelensky backs Trump's energy ceasefire despite ongoing strikes
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated he will support an 'energy ceasefire' announced by US President Donald Trump, provided Moscow does the same. Trump claimed the agreement was effective immediately, though it lacked initial details and caught Kyiv somewhat by surprise. Despite the US announcement, Ukrainian officials report that Russian forces continue to target critical energy infrastructure, raising doubts about the immediate implementation and enforcement of the truce on the ground.
