Elon Musk questions Ambani’s influence as Starlink India launch stalls
Elon Musk has openly questioned billionaire Mukesh Ambani’s influence in India as SpaceX faces ongoing delays in launching its Starlink satellite internet service. Musk accused unnamed oligarchs of maintaining a monopolistic chokehold, prompting a swift rebuttal from the Indian Ministry of Communications. The ministry rejected claims of discrimination, stating that Starlink and other operators are undergoing the same mandatory security assessments. Meanwhile, Starlink has spent over five years attempting to enter the Indian market, securing local partnerships and approvals without yet commencing commercial operations.
