Haifa Wildfires of 2016: Channel 2 Broadcast Archival

On November 24, 2016, a massive wave of wildfires swept through Haifa, Israel, forcing the evacuation of approximately 85,000 residents across multiple neighborhoods. Investigations later revealed that many of these fires were the result of deliberate arson, while dry weather conditions and strong winds fueled their rapid spread.

Israel's Channel 2 provided continuous, day-long special coverage documenting the unfolding disaster, emergency response efforts, and the resilience of the local population. This archival footage captures the intense television broadcasting marathon led by prominent anchors as the city faced one of its most severe environmental crises.
