Turning the tides: Could hidden sea power energise our towns?
Engineer David Mummery has developed a compact, low-cost tidal energy generator known as the Swimmer Turbine, designed to harness the power of ocean currents for coastal communities. Unlike massive commercial tidal projects, this 50kw device can be easily assembled and installed by local workers from village harbors, functioning much like a flat-pack furniture kit.
