Stem Cells Survive Unexpectedly Rough Space Travel
In early 2024, neural stem cell clusters known as neurospheres were sent to the International Space Station to study the effects of microgravity. The mission faced unexpected challenges during the return phase. Due to adverse weather conditions at the landing site, the samples remained outside of controlled laboratory environments for significantly longer than planned, defying survival expectations.
