Working around men may make women feel worse about mistakes, study
Mistakes are a universal part of the workplace experience, yet how employees feel about them often varies by gender. A recent study published in Frontiers in Organizational Psychology reveals that women tend to view mistakes more negatively than men. However, this perception is not uniform and is significantly influenced by the gender composition of the office environment. Specifically, working in proximity to male colleagues appears to amplify negative feelings among women when errors occur.
