England confirm 50-over warm-up fixture ahead of Australia tour
England's cricket team has scheduled a 50-over warm-up match against a Western Australia XI at the Waca in Perth. This decision comes ahead of their upcoming white-ball tour, aiming to better prepare the squad for Australian conditions. ECB chair Richard Thompson acknowledged that the team learned from the lack of preparation during last year's Ashes defeat. By securing this fixture, the board aims to correct previous mistakes and ensure the team is properly acclimated before the series begins.
