Six presumed dead after medical flight vanishes off US coast
A medical transport aircraft carrying six people has gone missing off the coast of Nantucket, Massachusetts. The US Coast Guard has officially suspended the search for survivors, and the operator, Latitude Air Ambulance, has confirmed that all passengers and crew are presumed dead. The flight, which was traveling from Bermuda to Boston, lost contact with air traffic control early Saturday morning after a significant drop in altitude. Authorities have since located a debris field confirmed to be from the aircraft, and investigations into the cause of the crash are currently underway.
