School roof collapse in Peshawar, Pakistan kills dozens
A tragic school roof collapse in the north-western Pakistani city of Peshawar has resulted in the deaths of at least 33 pupils and a teacher. Hospital officials confirmed the high casualty toll, noting that numerous others sustained injuries. Emergency services and rescue teams quickly deployed to the Al-Khair school in Dir Colony. Officials fear that additional people, particularly children, remain trapped beneath the heavy debris as rescue operations continue.
