Netflix Secures 2030 World Cup Rights in Spain and Andorra
Netflix has acquired the exclusive broadcasting rights for the 2030 FIFA World Cup in Spain and Andorra, marking a major expansion of its live sports strategy. The streaming giant will air all 104 matches of the tournament's centenary edition, where Spain is a co-host. While Netflix will control the complete package, regulations require certain key fixtures to remain accessible to the public. Consequently, specific matches—including Spanish national team games, semifinals, and the final—will be sublicensed to a national free-to-air broadcaster.
