France braces for national day of school protests after injuries and mass arrests
France is preparing for a major national day of student-led protests following weeks of growing unrest over education funding and conditions. Hundreds of schools have been blockaded, resulting in thousands of arrests and numerous injuries among both students and law enforcement. The demonstrations, which initially began in September with high school students demanding better resources, have now expanded to include university students and major national labor unions. Tensions have heightened significantly following severe injuries sustained by students during recent clashes with police.
