Prime Video Acquires Global Rights to Turkish AI Movie 'Çukur:Vartolu'
Prime Video has secured global rights for 'Çukur:Vartolu,' an AI-generated spin-off film from the hit Turkish series 'Çukur' (known internationally as 'The Pit'). Produced by Ay Yapim's Singapore-based studio AI Yapim, the movie marks a significant step in expanding established drama franchises using native artificial intelligence production techniques. The film explores the origins and transformative journey of the character Vartolu Sadettin, bridging his childhood in eastern Türkiye with conflicts in Istanbul. While every visual frame is generated by artificial intelligence, the production relies on human actors for physical performances and professional voice actors for dialogue.
