Alex Scott out of England squad with eight-week injury layoff
Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott has withdrawn from the England squad following a thigh injury sustained during international duty. The club has expressed dissatisfaction regarding the management of the player's fitness by the national team staff. Scott played 70 minutes against Croatia despite reporting discomfort prior to the match. England manager Thomas Tuchel noted the injury was unexpected, as medical staff had cleared the player for full participation.
