Cynthia Erivo Advised Sunny Hostin on Cornell 7 Backlash
Sunny Hostin, co-host of 'The View,' recently faced significant backlash after her legal analysis of the Cornell 7 sexual assault case. Critics accused her of victim-shaming and defending the accused men by focusing strictly on New York's legal standards regarding consent and intoxication. Following the controversy, actress Cynthia Erivo reached out to Hostin to offer perspective. Erivo advised the host to lead with empathy rather than legal technicalities, helping Hostin understand how her delivery was perceived by the public.
