Hamilton and Verstappen Baffled by F1 'Lego Race' Software Glitch
A software bug during the Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia caused multiple F1 cars to struggle during wet conditions, leading Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen to compare the bizarre scene to a 'Lego race.' The issue stemmed from complex engine management software failing under specific low-speed, low-grip conditions. The FIA has launched a full investigation into the incident, which caused significant confusion on the grid and delayed the race. While team principals acknowledged the complexity of the new hybrid engine regulations, they emphasized the need for improvements to ensure such technical failures do not recur.
