India rejects Elon Musk's claim of discrimination over Starlink launch
India has strongly pushed back against claims made by Elon Musk alleging that his satellite internet service, Starlink, is being unfairly blocked from launching in the country. Musk had accused unnamed oligarchs of maintaining a monopolistic chokehold, framing the regulatory delays as a crime against Indian citizens. In response, India's Ministry of Communications defended its regulatory framework as fair and non-discriminatory. The government clarified that Starlink and other competing satellite operators are currently undergoing mandatory security assessments before spectrum allocation can proceed.
