England secure 3-1 win over Greece in World Cup play-off first leg
England's women's football team secured a valuable 3-1 victory against Greece in Crete during the first leg of their Women's World Cup qualifying play-off. Sarina Wiegman's side took a strong lead toward securing their place in Brazil next year, though they still face the second leg in Leicester. Despite the win, manager Sarina Wiegman expressed frustration over defensive lapses that allowed Greece to score and keep the tie somewhat open.
