Tesla is expanding its Powershare Home Backup feature to include the Model 3 and Model Y, allowing these electric vehicles to serve as backup power sources for homes during outages. This capability was previously exclusive to the Cybertruck. To utilize this feature, users must also own a Tesla Powerwall 3. The company is also extending support to include the Powerwall 2, broadening the accessibility of this vehicle-to-home energy solution for existing Tesla ecosystem users.
