Ella Rumpf to Star in Andrea Štaka's 'Ibicaba: O Paraíso Prometido'
Ella Rumpf, Júlio Andrade, and Ana Flávia Cavalcanti have been cast in Andrea Štaka’s upcoming historical drama 'Ibicaba: O Paraíso Prometido'. The project is a co-production between Brazil’s MyMama Entertainment and Switzerland’s Cinédokké Sagl. Adapted from Eveline Hasler’s novel, the film is set in 1855 and follows a Swiss single mother who migrates to Brazil, only to face exploitation, while forming a bond with an enslaved local woman.
