Broadway Revival of 'Other Desert Cities' Led by Star-Studded Cast
Jon Robin Baitz's acclaimed drama returns to Broadway for its first revival since 2011, bringing together a stellar ensemble cast featuring Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Ed Harris, and Allison Janney. The narrative unfolds during a tense Christmas holiday gathering in Palm Springs, where a politically divided family faces upending revelations when their daughter announces an upcoming memoir. The explosive book project digs into a painful, long-buried family tragedy involving an older brother's suicide and a historical extremist incident. As long-held secrets come to light, the production balances sharp comedic timing with raw emotional confrontations, offering an incisive look at modern familial dysfunction and political polarization.
