Apple signs deal to hire team and license tech from startup Huxe
Apple has disclosed a reverse acqui-hire agreement with the personalized audio startup Huxe, securing a non-exclusive license to its intellectual property and extending job offers to its team members. The deal was revealed through a regulatory filing with the European Commission. Huxe was founded by former developers of AI podcast features in Google's NotebookLM. Despite shutting down its app and halting services earlier this year, the startup's underlying technology and talent have now found a pathway to Apple, sparking speculation about future AI-generated podcast features on Apple platforms.
