Xona’s commercial GPS alternative is about to go live
Startup Xona Space Systems is preparing to launch six satellites to test the first commercial alternative to traditional GPS. Founded by Stanford aerospace engineers, the company aims to offer high-precision timing and navigation. While traditional government GPS signals are free, they lack the precision needed for advanced technologies like autonomous vehicles. Xona's Pulsar network promises centimeter-level accuracy and stronger resistance to jamming.
