Trump wants a new Camp David-like retreat at his Florida golf club
US President Donald Trump has proposed creating a new presidential retreat modeled after Camp David at his private golf club in Florida. Under the plan, the club would cover construction costs as a gift and offer free memberships to future presidents alongside accommodations for foreign dignitaries. This luxurious proposal stands in stark contrast to the historic, rustic nature of the traditional Maryland retreat originally established during the Great Depression. The initiative highlights Trump's ongoing pattern of transforming long-standing presidential traditions and reshaping executive spaces.
