Paul McCartney Critiques Beatles Biopic Casting Over Height Concerns
Legendary musician Paul McCartney has expressed frustration regarding the upcoming Beatles film series directed by Sam Mendes. McCartney specifically took issue with the casting of Paul Mescal, noting that the actor appears shorter than his co-star portraying John Lennon, which contradicts the historical reality of the band members' heights. McCartney reached out to Mendes directly after seeing production stills, urging the director to address the visual discrepancy. This follows a previous grievance McCartney held regarding a 2009 film where he felt his character was inaccurately depicted as smaller and weaker than his bandmates.
