Artemis Fowl Animated TV Show Set at Disney
Author Eoin Colfer has announced that an animated series adaptation of his bestselling book franchise "Artemis Fowl" has been greenlit for Disney Channel and Disney+. The announcement was made during the "25 Years of Artemis Fowl" panel at New York Comic Con, with Colfer serving as an executive producer. The show follows the 13-year-old criminal mastermind and genius Artemis Fowl as he uncovers an underground world of high-tech fairies. His plan involves capturing a fairy to steal its magic in order to heal his mother and save his family. This new animated project follows a previous live-action film adaptation released on Disney+ in 2020, which faced negative reviews and was later removed from the platform in 2023. Disney executives and Colfer expressed high hopes for the upcoming animated format.
