French studio Gaumont is preparing a brand-new 4K restoration of Louis Malle's classic 1958 crime thriller, "Elevator to the Gallows." Starring Jeanne Moreau and featuring a legendary jazz score by Miles Davis, the film's reissue celebrates the upcoming anniversaries of the French New Wave and Moreau's birth. Simultaneously, Jean-Jacques Beineix’s 1986 iconic drama "Betty Blue" is returning to the big screen at the Lumière Film Festival in Lyon. Both cinematic milestones highlight Gaumont's continued dedication to preserving and reintroducing classic French cinema to modern audiences.
