DistroKid quietly removes songs following UMG lawsuit over AI music
DistroKid has begun removing songs from streaming platforms without prior notice to artists. The company confirmed these actions are a direct response to a lawsuit filed by Universal Music Group (UMG). UMG's lawsuit alleges that DistroKid functions as an "AI-slop pipeline." However, many artists report that their legitimate, human-made works are being mistakenly deleted in the purge.
