Netflix and Derek Cianfrance to Adapt Gary Paulsen's 'Hatchet'
Netflix is developing a feature film adaptation of Gary Paulsen's beloved 1987 young adult survival novel, 'Hatchet.' Acclaimed filmmaker Derek Cianfrance is set to write and direct the project. The story follows 13-year-old Brian Robeson, who must survive alone in the Canadian wilderness after a plane crash, armed only with a hatchet.
